The Buttonwood tree is a symbol of regeneration & transformation...
Buttonwood Coaching is more than just a business; it's a heartfelt tribute and a beacon of hope inspired by my parents, Elizabeth “Betty” and John, affectionately known to many as “Nana” and “PopPop”. Betty and John held a strong love for family and friends, generously served others, thrived in their chosen careers, and raised four children successfully. Over the years, they relocated several times to various cities and states as advancement opportunities arose. Despite the many challenges associated with moving a household, children and pets every couple of years, they remained dedicated to equipping their children with enduring values, strong work ethics, built on solid educational foundations. First and foremost, Buttonwood Coaching serves as a cherished reminder of the spirit, hopes, and dreams Betty and John instilled over the years.
Second, Buttonwood, is another name for the American Sycamore tree. The choice of this tree as a symbol was deliberate. Sometimes called the “tree of life” because it provides both fruit and wood, the Buttonwood is revered for its rapid growth, sturdy root system, and unique camouflage-like bark. Just as the bark of the tree cracks and peels as it grows from the inside out revealing a vibrant mosaic of colors and textures, so too does this practice aim to inspire individuals to regenerate throughout their journey of growth toward purpose and fulfillment. At Buttonwood Coaching, our mission is to travel alongside our clients, sharing our experience, strength, and hope, as they discover and navigate their life-long journey’s toward professional and personal well-being.
